A surprising number of older people enjoy using computers and the internet.
More than a third of our customers are over 60 years old, and we are always happy to help with even the most difficult or simple questions.
It's always interesting to find out the many and varied uses the older generation have for computers, from keeping in touch with distant friends and relatives, to making greetings cards, to tracing the family tree!
We are regularly asked for help with setting up internet connections and email accounts, but if you require more specific training, here is a list of some of the places that offer computer courses in Sheffield:
Badger Tennants and Residents Association. 2 Goathland Place, Sheffield S13 7TE. 0114 229 3533
MATREC. 304 - 308 Prince of Wales Road, Sheffield S2 1FF. 0114 264 2194
(If you would like your training centre listed here please get in touch.)
In the meantime here's a few pointers: Always pay attention to what your computer says on the screen, never be afraid to ask, and keep practising!
